The team at Materiálový a metalurgický výzkum s.r.o., which has long specialized in circular audits and material flow analysis, has completed a circular audit at the SMOLO Group. The audit was conducted at six facilities and its aim was to evaluate resource management, identify areas of potential waste, and suggest opportunities for further savings.
A circular audit is a tool that helps companies transition to the principles of the circular economy and use resources repeatedly and efficiently. The MMV team focused in detail on material flows and waste management at all the facilities evaluated. The results confirmed that SMOLO manages its resources very well and has high-level processes in place. The recommendations identified are partial steps for further improvement.
“Thanks to very efficient management of material resources, no significant room for improvement was identified at any of our branches. However, useful recommendations were formulated, which we will focus on—because there is always room for improvement and we do not want to rest on our laurels,” said Lucie Němcová, Quality, EMS, and OHS Manager at the SMOLO Group.
Through circular audits, MMV supports companies in transitioning to more sustainable operations, increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening competitiveness.
