The programme began with short speeches from the management. Director of Science and Research Jozef Vlček and Executive Director Jakub Švrček recalled the company’s history and the main directions in which MMV’s research is heading today, including the CirkArena project currently under development in Třinec.

A guided tour of the facilities was organised for the participants. Zdeněk Kuboň, who has worked at MMV since 1985, led his colleagues on a tour of the laboratories, workshops and the IDEA Hub. Throughout the evening, historical photographs and video footage from the company’s archives were projected in the hall. The material for this occasion was compiled by the employees themselves; many of the images come from the private collections of those who lived through that era and were newly scanned for the anniversary.

The staff gathering was the first of two events organised by MMV to mark the anniversary. The main event, bringing together partners, customers and representatives of the scientific and academic communities, will take place on 12 and 13 November at Futureum in Dolní Vítkovice.
